I spoke with the Living Wage Foundation for International Women’s Day today and from this one piece of work with them, Seniors Helping Seniors has helped put some important issues in to the light and achieved national coverage.
Seniors Helping Seniors became a champion for the foundation in 2021 and I was proud to comment on behalf of all our business owners today. Paying above the Real Living Wage is a commitment all our franchise partners make.
Care is a sector which is traditionally poor paying. Care is also a sector hiring more women than men.
We started Seniors Helping Seniors in the UK to disrupt the Care sector. Leading the way is important to us.
Always paying properly is just one of the ways we lead.
We have zero problems attracting and retaining amazing carers. Because of the investment in our carers. The investment permeates all our systems and makes us unique.
Happy carers make happy customers! Happy customers make great businesses!
When most employers fail to hang onto employees aged fifty and over, we’re happy to show caring can be a lifelong career. The average age of our carers is 59.7 years.
Our founder and chairwoman is one of the most inspiring and strong women I have every met – I shall forever be grateful to her. Our CEO, and my fellow business owners, are amazing women. Our care managers, our stunning carers and our warrior clients inspire me every day.
Happy International Women’s Day #IWD2023 #embracequity
