The Care Quality Commission (CQC)
Seniors Helping Seniors runs some health and social care services the CQC inspects: The regulated services we offer are Personal care Services. Our companionship services are out of scope for the CQC
- The CQC has registered and inspected our Personal care Services. We registered to ensure that all aspects of our service comply with the Health and Social Care Act (Regulated Activities) 2014 Part 3 Fundamental Standards, and CQC (Registration) Regulations 2009. We were inspected on 17th April 2023. We were rated Good
- You can review our inspection report on the CQC website. We are proud of the detail in the report. Some of of the exceptional aspects of our business got a mention, including our People Strategy and outcomes for our clients
Registration and a Good Rating means we have satisfied the CQC that we meet a number of requirements. Prior to Inspection the CQC make assessments on the structure of the company :-
- Whether it thinks we are suitable
- Whether there are enough staff and whether they’ve got the right skills, qualifications and experience
- The size, layout and design of the company
- Our policies, systems and procedures
- How we’re run and how we make decisions
CQC inspectors use their professional judgement, supported by objective measures and evidence, to assess services against five key questions:-
- Are they safe?
- Are they effective?
- Are they caring?
- Are they responsive to people’s needs
- Are they well-led?
What does the CQC mean by safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led?
